On a class of g**-closed sets in topological spaces and some mappings

In this paper, we introduced the concepts of g ** -closed sets as well as g ** -open sets and studied some of their basic properties. Further we defined g ** -continuous mappings and investigated their basic properties. In addition we obtained g ** -irresolute mappings and some of their properties are derived. AMS (2000) subject classifications: 54A05, 54A10, and 54D10.
